Wet and windy north, improving Mediterranean

Friday
Rain and showers across most of central and eastern Spain and Portugal. Drier in the south with some bright spells. Further cloud, rain and showers in the Balearics. Heavy periods of rain and a risk of snow too in Italy. Rain in western Greece but fair in the east. Fair for the west of Turkey but cloud and rain in the east.
Breezy northern France with some wintry showers. Drier in southern areas although some sleet and snow in the Alps. Rain, sleet and some wet snow and wind for the Low Countries. Sunny spells and a few showers in Germany. Fine in northern Poland but some rain and snow in thee south.
Cloud and some rain or sleet in Denmark. Further sleet for Denmark. Breezy in Finland with snow showers, some heavy. Fair for Sweden and dry as well as cold. Heavy snow showers in the west of Norway.

Saturday
Fair and mild for Spain and Portugal. Scattered showers in the Balearics although these fading. Fine across Italy with plenty of sunshine. Fair too in Greece although some showers in the east. Heavy rain in western parts of Turkey.
Breezy across France with a risk of gales in the north. Rain too in northern areas. Gales for the Low Countries with rain at times. Fair for most of Germany with sunny spells, increasingly windy in the west. Poland will be bright and mainly dry although some showers in the north. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland should all be dry and bright.
Fair in Denmark, some sunny spells. Showers for the Baltic States, a few wintry. Sunny spells and wintry showers in Finland. Sweden should be dry and bright with sunny spells. Wintry showers in the west of Norway, most in the north.
