Warm with plenty of sunshine for most, with some showers in Ireland

A bright and dry start to Monday morning across the British Isles, with plenty of sunshine after some early mist and fog patches clear. A few showers forming along the western coast of Ireland, particularly in the north. Some cloud building across Wales and the Midlands, and in the north into the late morning.

In the afternoon, showers persist along the western coast of Ireland, with some patchy showers affecting some regions in the east. One or two showers in northern Wales and southwest England in Devon and Cornwall. Some showers in northern Scotland. Plenty of sunny spells despite the rain. Dry and sunny elsewhere, with the best of the sunshine in the west and south. Feeling very warm and pleasant.

Overnight, showers in northwest Ireland, with one or two in the west. Showers across western Wales, particularly along the coast and hills. Dry elsewhere with clear skies for most. Some cloud building in the southeast.
